LCD touch screen
The large, clear 5.7" touch screen leads the user through everything from selecting a hymn to creating a play list for a service. The screen's white LED backlighting enables operation even in complete darkness, but uses very little power.
Whereas other products present the user with a mass of buttons to master, the elegant touch screen design of the Hymnal Plus effectively guides the user by only showing keys relevant to the current task at any time. It's also a great source of information, for example displaying the first line and tune name/title of a song as soon as one is selected ( so you know you entered the correct hymn number!).

Styles
Create your styleThe Hymnal Plus is designed to accompany the singing of all kinds of worship music. Choose from hundreds of preset musical styles - everything from simple piano or organ to a full orchestra or worship band. For convenience, the preset styles are divided into three lists: OrganThe 37 preset organ styles range from simple, quiet pipe organ sounds to the full sound of the mighty cathedral organ. Gospel organs with slow and fast rotating speaker effects are included. OrchestralPiano, harpsichord, orchestral strings, together with the full range of orchestral and band instruments. CombinationMixtures of instruments such as piano with orchestral strings, contemporary music group, pipe organ with orchestra, string and woodwind quartets, brass band, calypso band etc. You can add a sparkling drum track to any style - there are 69 rhythms to choose from. Personalise your styleFor the adventurous, there is even a "user" style section where you can create and save your own special orchestrations. Take a preset style, change it to suit and save it, giving it a memorable name. It's that simple.

Play Lists
Plan and store services in advance
Using the Play List feature, you can plan and store all the music for a service in advance. There's no limit to the number of play lists you can store, so you can create a different play list for every service and give each one a familar name for identification later on. What's more, there's no limit to the number of items you can store in a play list. An item can be any of the thousands of built-in tunes or one of your own MIDI or MP3 files. It can even be a text slide (maybe the announcement of a forthcoming event) if you have the display output option installed.
It's easy to add and delete items in a Play List, and you can quickly re-arrange the play order with simple Move Up and Move Down buttons.
Hymn Search
Search for any part of a first line, tune name or title
For added ease of use, the Hymnal Plus has a powerful built-in search engine. Just press the Search button and enter any part of a first line, tune name or title (either on-screen or using the optional qwerty typing keyboard). The Hymnal Plus will list all matching entries in its database within moments. You can search within any of the available book indexes, or search the entire database (the Master Index).
Audition
If you are unsure which of the search results is the one you want, you can quickly audition them one by one.
Remote Control Handset
A fully-featured remote control infra-red handset is supplied with the Hymnal Plus. This can be very handy, particularly when the worship leader is also the Hymnal Plus operator. Each function is clearly labelled and, using the handset's Orchestrator section, 24 musical styles can be selected at the touch of a button:
- 8 preset organ styles.
- 8 preset orchestral and combination styles.
- 8 of your own choice. Choose any 8 from the range of 244 preset styles, or any of your own personal styles.
